Hale Farm is a working, family run farm situated in 56 acres of peaceful, rural Sussex countryside.We offer spacious camping,in a beautiful location and the opportunity to meet our farm residents.
If you would like to camp in an open field, under the stars, with a small campfire outside your tent, where you can sit and watch the night sky on a clear night then this is the camping site for you.

The Piano converted horse box bar will be visiting Hale Farm on selected dates throughout the season serving a selection of alcoholic drinks and soft drinks, all at reasonable prices. Situated along the Weald Way at the head of the Cuckmere Valley, it is the perfect location for exploring the South Downs Country Park, The High Weald and the Sunshine Coast by car, cycling or walking. There are two excellent pubs and a village shop all within walking distance from the campsite.
During your stay you can meet Oreo, Bailey and Tilly our friendly donkeys and pony. See Percy, Penny, Pippa and Poppy our rare breed Oxford, Sandy and Black pigs, lying in the sunshine or rooting around in the soil. Enjoy feeding our free range chickens, geese and resident ducks. Meet Angel and Angelica our Pygmy goats with their adorable kids Frodo, Florence and Angelica and watch our pedigree flocks of Lleyn and Ryeland sheep grazing across the farm.
This summer we are delighted to be teaming up with Muddy Boots, who will be providing Forest School sessions. Sessions run from 10.30am to 12.30pm on the following dates:

Children £10, adults £3, 25% off additional adults and siblings. Children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult. So if yours are over 5 feel free to drop them off and get back to your tent for a well deserved break!

For those of you that don’t quite do camping but want to escape to the countryside our utterly charming Plankbridge Shepherd’s Hut provides an ideal romantic getaway for couples. The Shepherds Hut is comfy, cosy, warm and romantic, perfect for a break in the East Sussex countryside.
